In a previous article on Wholesome Mommy I described how to make fantastic Kratom tea, literally this tea will have you smiling from ear to ear and will push away any depression or anxiety. That being said, there are many other methods for taking Kratom, and below I give my full guide on how to use Kratom.
The most common technique is called toss n’ wash, where literally you put the Kratom in your mouth and chase it back with a drink. More specifically, take a level teaspoon of powder and put it in your mouth between your tongue and the roof of your mouth, and don’t let it go all over your mouth. Then wash it back with your drink of choice, but make sure you get all of the powder out of your mouth and swallow it before you stop drinking. I find orange juice is the absolute best drink for masking the bitter taste of the powder during toss n’ wash.
All of this being said, some people are really opposed to toss n’ wash and can never seem to figure it out, and for them Kratom capsules is the best option. You can make your own capsules by buying empty pills and filling them up yourself, or you can simply buy a big bottle of them. My favorite place to get high quality Kratom capsules is Amazing Botanicals.
The only caveat to capsules is you have to take 10 of them to get a regular dose of 7 grams, although at least there is no bitter taste.
The most powerful technique I know of for taking Kratom is extracts. With toss n’ wash and capsules you are just taking the regular leaf powder, but the extract is comprised of concentrated Kratom alkaloids including Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, and this causes the strongest and most instantaneous effects. I typically only use extracts if I am extremely stressed, depressed, or in pain, and I find that they are extremely effective. Of course, finding the best Kratom extract is essential, and fortunately Amazing Botanicals has the best Kratom extracts.
